Anthony L. Almada has worked in the natural products industry since 1975. His undergraduate training is in Physiology and Nutritional Biochemistry. He obtained his Masters degree in Nutritional Sciences at Cal Berkeley. In 1990 he created the “thermogenic” category of dietary supplements. In 1992 he co-founded EAS (Experimental and Applied Sciences), which introduced creatine monohydrate and evidence-based performance nutrition to most of the world. He has collaborated on over 55 university-based clinical trials, ranging from ALS to zinc metabolism in osteoarthritis. He is a co-founder and Fellow of the International Society of Sports Nutrition. He founded and leads IMAGINutrition, Inc., a think tank focusing upon nutrition-centric innovation/intellectual properties, clinical research, demand creation, and brand/entity business strategy. He has been an invited presenter at the Federal Trade Commission and the National Institutes of Health.
